Avery (she/her) is a Registered Acupuncturist and Clinical Herbalist with a passion for holistic healthcare. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Avery graduated with honours from Pacific Rim College, where she studied Western Herbalism and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture.
With a strong foundation in biomedical sciences, herbal energetics, and nutrition, Avery combines Western herbal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, and holistic nutrition to assess and support each person based on their unique constitution.
As a Registered Acupuncturist with the CTCMA and a professional member of the British Columbia Herbalist Association, Avery is dedicated to making holistic healthcare accessible while providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for healing. She works with a wide range of health concerns, including digestive issues, chronic stress, chronic pain, gynecological conditions, nervous system dysregulation, and mental-emotional health.
Avery has a special interest in supporting the nervous system and helping the body return to a state of balance and resilience. She works with conditions often connected to a taxed nervous system, including stress, anxiety, burnout, tension patterns, chronic pain, sleep concerns, and digestive imbalances. Her approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and rooted in the understanding that the body’s systems are deeply interconnected.
Her studies have brought her around the world, in 2012 and 2015, Avery studied Ayurveda under her teacher in Kerala, India. In 2023, she had the privilege of travelling to Poland to work on a project with Acupuncture Without Borders, offering treatments to refugees from Ukraine.
Outside of her clinical work, Avery enjoys travelling, gardening, camping, volunteering in harm reduction, and spending time in nature with her dog Elton John.
